Interface is clumsy to the degree that it takes away from the creative process. Waste of money, and I know my synthesis. but this app would serve Far better on an ipad.

Good, but hard to figure it out.
First of all the SV-5s analog synthesizer is full of sonic options and makes it easy to explore many interesting song ideas. Playing around with the 2 oscillators, envelope and filter settings is easy and a lot of fun. In my opinion the synthesizer on the SV-5 application is quite handy for trying out new musical ideas or playing along with other applications running in the background. Ive been using it with Molten Drum Machine running simultaneously on my iPad. The SV-5s vocoder feature works really well and in a few seconds I recorded my voice and transformed it using some of the included presets. All in all this is a fun, handy application for any musician.
Sorry guys, I think its terrible, I really dont like this For me it sounds like crap, but sure I might be wrong
Where is the general update guys ????? Bug fixes ? Retina display support ????
Doesnt do want I want it to. Doesnt change your voice too much, even if recording. Other problems too. Ill re-rate with next update. Good or bad
I like it so far. Sounds fine. Looks good. The interface works. I would love to see this app integrate with Beatmaker like Noise.io, so that any wav files saved can be imported into Beatmaker. One Love.
This app is crap! Not a vocoder!
At the heart of this software is special vocoder synthesizer. Vocoder Sounds variety better than a lot of hardware synthesizer vocoder currently the market. The interface design is great, props to the designer and developers, applause. This is one impressive vocoder synthesizer.
This synthesizer vocoder app is a wonderful piece of software. Beautifully done, lots of fun. Its like controlling the roland VP-330 with!!. Best app for iPhone hands down.
It is a wonderful app.
Thats one of the most comprehensive apps Ive seen on the iPhone:)
I got this app 6 hours ago and it is already my favorite software synth for the iphone! The sound is very good and It runs very smoothly on my iPhone 3g, about no latency at all even with the vocoder enabled! The UI is very easy to understand and it looks good. I`am very impressed! Wish for more apps like this!
Only played with it for about an hour, really like it so far. Something the developers should mention, the keyboard is polyphonic. I couldnt find that info anywhere. I like the simple oscillator sounds, more familiar than nlog for example. Latency is very low, and the vocoder is great as well. Only gripes are I hear a lot of unwanted distortion in the presets which is easily rectified by turning either the oscillators or distortion down. Also, some patches glitch a tad as they are probably pushing the phone CPU to the brink (3g for me). Still very cool and useable. Edit: the knob action is SUPER akward. It basically sticks on a knob until you press it again, which means you end up inadvertently adjusting the same knob again. Very tedious. Still loving this thing though.
Final final review: this app is buggy and cumbersome to use. You cant slide the keyboard without hitting notes.. You cant slide the controls without them either locking up, or getting out of whack. It stops working frequently... BUT.. If you need a vocoded voice for a track in a pinch.. It might be worth the price if you can put up with the hassle. Final review update: this app is great on all of my devices with 3.0 firmware installed. You really MUST invest in a dock connector mounted mic to get the sound you would expect to-- but it does work with headset mic better than it had. Could you buy a vocoder synth anywhere for $17? Only in the magical virtual world of high powered, high end iPhone apps. Placed on the essential music toolkit-- dont be caught without it. ----- Hey hey! This app works great now.. But only on my 2g touch 3.0 upgraded, with macally ivoice iii installed and audio out cable to amp. Craptacular with headset, randomly starts playing iTunes+ very distorted. I tried a headset adapter mic it pretty much blew as well. It doesnt work worth a crap on my 2.2.1 2g iPhone with headset, with ivoice, its a little better but i have to see if 3.0 upgrade brings 44khz and compatibility improvements that it did to my touch. Ps doesnt work AT ALL with my iPhone built in mic, as one might imagine it would from the advertisement. I cant speak for 3g or 3gs (yet) So-- if you can shell out for this app, then spend another 30 get the ivoiceiii on eBay. its as close to a micro korg youll get for less than an xbox game.. Youll use the ivoiceiii in other apps too, it rocks for voip, beatmaker, gigbaby, etc.. When u first start, go right to preset krwftrobot, its fun. Time to check out some other awesome looking yudo apps (hopefully tested on all iphone os platforms) I know Ive logged hours playing aero-synth..
I hope they add more features and fix the bugs. Needs a lot of work, and I want to give it five stars I do, but its quality is below price level.
Tap on/tap off edit controls might be confusing at first, but voice altering is actually pretty dramatic once you get your mind around the modulation controls. It REALLY helps to have an intermediate grasp of synthesizer editing experience. A fun app.
Should have listened to the reviews. Even $2.99 was too much. This thing is so confusing with no directions in sight. Wish we could get refunds.
OK, I understand the negative comments about this app but I love it and I think if you do this you will to: To synth scroll the top half of the screen over to the far right end, press load and choose the first one, now atleast you have a synth. To vocode, scroll the top half of the screen to the far right and press load, choose the kraftrobot one, and press load. Now press the Record button and say something into the mic and then press stop. Now the start to play with the keys. Live vocoding only works with headphones it seems like... - This app needs a good how-to and maybe a couple ui tweaks, like starting the app on the load side of the top, beginners are much more likely to be loading presets than messing with wave forms.
This sucked all it did was crash i cudnt even use it i asked them to fix it and they just ignored so there goes hard earned money just WASTED the ppl who give good review probaly work for them so listen to me DNT BUY!!!!
